  Sand in my toes again

My second visit to Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast.

  I can suck my toes

I've worked out what hands are for and I'm getting good at using them to grab things like grandad's chest hair, gramma's necklace, mummy's glasses, spoons, bottles...

Less shagged looking than last time

Baby Z came into this world at 14:45 Monday 18th April 2005 as a result of being 9 months cooked and a liddle bit of chemical encouragement. Full complement of fingers and toes, clean bill of health, yada. Mummy and Daddy not quite so relaxed!

The Third Scan: It's a Boy!

Baby Z's third ultrasound scan, Mater Hospital, Brisbane, Monday 29th November 2004, 19 weeks gestating. External genitalia difficult to miss.
This one didn't go quite so smoothly. Nuchal translucency excellent, lack of middle phalange of both little fingers not excellent. Quick amniocentesis and FISH test says all is OK. Phew.

  The second scan

Baby Z's second ultrasound scan, Mater Hospital, Brisbane, Friday 15th October 2004, 13 weeks gestating.
Baby Z fell asleep and woke up again twice during the scan, wriggled, turned over a lot, waved various limbs.
Nuchal Translucency test gave a very low likelihood of Downs. Heart visibly beating, regular number of hands and feet.
This scan did not suggest a gender but we know it's a girl...
