Blackbutt Trails
These are primarily horse / mountain bike routes which are signed and maintained. The section of Allery Trail passing through private land leaves me wondering whether this is a legit; it does not follow the road reserve. Strava tells me it’s well used.
Yarraman Trails
The nice folk at Yarraman Caravan Park asked me to make a map of the walk / horse / cycle trails which are signposted around the town.

Family Bushwalks in SEQ – Second Edition
We were very pleasantly surprised at how quickly the First Edition of Family Bushwalks in South East Queensland sold out its initial print run of 2,500 copies. Following a question from a reader “Isn’t Toowoomba in SEQ?” we added a comprehensive Toowoomba Region chapter and beefed up the Somerset Region chapter for the Second Edition which is now available in shops and online at www.familybushwalks.com.au
Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Guide
Not long ago a cafe proprietor on the BVRT mentioned to me that she had nothing informative to give or sell to BVRT users. I promised to try to come up with something, and when we had finished preparing the Fifth Edition of Where to Mountain Bike in SEQ I realised this was a golden opportunity to piggyback the print run. Gillian quickly packaged up the Somerset chapter into a 12 page Guide to the BVRT and it is now in stock with a remarkable 20+ retailers in the Brisbane Valley.

Just before Christmas we received a shipment of our latest publication – the Fifth Edition of Where to Mountain Bike in South East Queensland.
